A bed (or a mattress) is a particularly important purchase. We understand that and our well trained staff are on hand to give you all the help and advice you need.

We encourage you to spend time “lying and trying” at leisure to assist you in making the correct choice for you. If you already have a bed base or bedstead you can, of course, have a mattress on its own.

There are numerous kinds......... Pocket sprung, Conventional spring, “memory” foam, etc... And we can explain the main differences. However, you may want the complete bed, either a divan (with/without storage) or maybe a bedstead (pine, oak, metal, leather, etc.) with a mattress to accompany the bedstead.

The standard widths are usually 2’6”, 3ft, 4ft, 4’6”, 5ft, or 6ft. However, if you require a special size, simply bring your measurements to enable us how we might help.

TIPS WHEN CHOOSING A BED/MATTRESS

• Measure any bed you wish to replace or the space you have available for your new one. Bring the details with you.
  
• If you intend to replace just the mattress – Check the condition of the base/bedstead you are keeping. An uneven base will distort your new mattress.
  
• Don’t be shy about removing heavy or outer clothing since this will disguise the feel of any mattresses you try and give you an inaccurate impression. This tip is especially important when trying “memory” foam mattresses whose shape is influenced by your body heat.
